Bowman Fire & Life Safety specializes in fire protection engineering design and consulting. Like most people in the fire protection engineering industry, we got into the field because we wanted to make a difference. With their passion for engineering, our senior staff guide our young talent to grow and develop into knowledgeable, high-performing engineers. Even though our work is serious, we have fun while doing it. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work with our senior staff on a large variety of projects. We want to provide you with a wide range of project and client experiences to give you a strong understanding of the consulting field.
WHAT WE DO: We provide building and fire code consulting, fire protection system design and commissioning, third party fire protection engineering design review, forensic fire protection engineering analysis and expert testimony.
WHERE WE DO IT: We work globally, but most of our work is in North America. We work in aircraft hangars, fuel tank farms, manufacturing facilities, chemical process facilities, laboratories, hotels, rocket integration/launch facilities, warehouse/storage, detention/correctional, as well as office and residential facilities.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Come grow with us! We’re looking for a Fire Protection Interns for our Atlanta (GA) office. As a fire protection intern with Bowman, you will work with our registered fire protection engineers performing:
• Fire protection and life safety system design
• Commissioning of fire protection and life safety systems
• Facility fire protection, code and life safety analysis
• Hydraulic modeling, including hydrant and fire pump testing
• Forensic engineering
• Energy storage/li-ion battery system analysis
QUALIFICATIONS
• Interest in getting your hands dirty and feet wet in the field. We don’t just sit behind our desks buried in code
• Revit or AutoCAD experience preferred
• U.S. Citizen required
