JETCOOL Technologies is seeking a dedicated, dependable mechanical engineer to lead engineering execution of programs across our core markets. The position will be responsible for the development of hardware systems starting with the development of concepts and taking these concepts through their tollgates all the way to a potential hand-off for production. Successful candidates will be comfortable taking on tasks as an individual contributor as well as working together with the team as required to meet project deadlines. Candidates with more experience may provide technical leadership in small teams executing programs.

Responsibilities
- Develop manufacturable mechanical designs to achieve system interface and structural requirements using SOLIDWORKS CAD
- Apply first principles in fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer to analyze design concept thermal performance
- Apply analysis and simulation tools (e.g. thermal and structural FEA, CFD) for product development and refinement
- Implement in-house prototyping tools to generate, evaluate, and select concepts
- Assemble engineering drawings and engage with external vendors to procure parts and hardware
- Design rigorous experiments to verify product specifications and design features
- Set up and perform experiments to collect empirical data of completed designs
- Effectively document and communicate results
- Work closely with engineering leadership to balance business development goals with engineering feasibility
- Candidates with more experience will also be expected to provide technical leadership in the framework of small teams to execute programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (B.S. in mechanical or aerospace engineering) and 0-3+ years work experience, or similar background, in thermal and / or fluids engineering
- Ability to balance and prioritize multiple simultaneous projects
- Excellent first principles knowledge in fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer
- Comfortable interfacing with fabrication partners and suppliers to deliver high quality parts on time
- Demonstrated ability with hands-on builds/projects
- Ability to work independently and on small teams
- Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS CAD and drawing packages
- U.S. Citizenship is required
