  1. Understand Employer Perspectives • Identify what employers seek in candidates and how hiring processes work from their perspective. • Recognize common employer perceptions and misconceptions about job applicants, job search,  & applicant tracking systems (ATS).
  2. Develop Strategic Job Search Skills• Create a personalized, strategic job search plan.• Learn the importance of quality over quantity and customization in job applications.• For international students:  Understand Work Authorization, How to answer authorization questions on applications, Sponsorship, etc.
  3. Master Job Application Logistics• Analyze job descriptions to extract key qualifications and responsibilities.• Develop tailored resumes and cover letters using best practices and AI tools. Leverage various career resources, including Handshake, Career Fairs, Talent Tables, Beyond Grad School, etc
  4. Build Interviewing and Networking Proficiency • Practice answering common interview questions.• Utilize tools and resources to prepare for interviews effectively.• Learn and apply networking strategies, including informational interviewing techniques.
  5. Maintain Well-Being During the Job Search & Gain Insight from Peers• Reflect on challenges and successes during the job search process with peers and advisors.• Learn about campus resources for support and guidance to manage stress and maintain focus.
  6. Understand Job Offer Negotiations and Contingency Planning• Analyze and negotiate job offers effectively• Explore contingency plans for situations like difficulty finding internships or unexpected changes.
