Entry-Level Architectural Designer, Clifton Park, NY

Position Overview:

We have an immediate opening for a full-time architectural designer in our growing building systems group located at our Clifton Park, NY office. This position offers a unique opportunity for growth and advancement in MJ’s municipal and federal markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Work within a project team to support architectural projects from initial project programming up to and through construction.
  • Design and renovation of buildings for local municipalities, New York State agencies and the federal government.
  • Modify and update designs based on review comments from management.
  • Communicate effectively and coordinate with project team members, including subconsultants and other disciplines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture from an ABET-accredited college.
  • 0-5 years of experience in architectural design and drafting.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar software.
  • Understanding of NYS building codes and regulations.
  • Technical knowledge in BIM.
  • Ability to work within multiple design teams and execute to meet demanding schedules.
  • Have excellent technical writing and communication skills
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
